Parent / Carer Coaching

Empowering Parents to Nurture Their Neurodivergent Children

Providing the Support and Tools You Need

Every child's needs differ, and meeting these needs is a crucial part of their growth and development.

At Grow Therapy Services, our parent coaching services aim to support parents and carers by providing a deep understanding of their child's diagnosis and individual needs.

We work closely with families, empowering them with the knowledge and skills to strengthen the relationships and attachments between child and caregiver.

Parent/Carer Coaching Journey

Sometimes, children may find it difficult to engage in therapy sessions – whether it’s due to feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or simply not yet having found the right fit. That’s okay. Therapy doesn’t need to look one specific way.

At Grow Therapy Services, we know that you – the parent or carer – are your child’s greatest support and strongest advocate.

Our Parent & Carer Coaching is here to support you.

These one-on-one sessions are designed to help you:

  • Better understand your child’s neurodivergent profile or diagnosis

  • Build confidence in supporting your child’s therapy goals at home

  • Learn practical, everyday strategies that align with your family’s strengths and routines

  • Feel less alone and more empowered in your parenting journey

Whether your child isn’t ready to engage with therapy just yet, or you want to enhance your knowledge and support strategies, these coaching sessions are a safe, supportive space just for you.

This is what the journey with us looks like – clear, supported, and at your pace:

1. Initial Enquiry

  • How it works: Reach out via our website contact form, email, or phone.

  • What happens next: Our friendly intake team will respond within 2 business days to learn more about your needs and match you with the right team member.

  • What we’ll ask: Brief details about your child (age, current supports, reason for seeking parent coaching).

2. Intake Call

  • Purpose: To get to know your family, explain our approach, and answer any questions.

  • What you’ll gain: Clarity on what the coaching involves, how it may help, and what the next steps look like.

3. Initial Assessment (60mins)

What’s included:

  • An in-depth conversation about your child’s strengths, needs, communication and sensory preferences, and your family goals.

  • Discussion of current challenges, routines, and existing strategies.

  • Shared understanding of what’s going well, and what might need extra support.

4. Parent/Carer Goal Setting session (60mins)

  • Collaboratively set 1–3 meaningful goals for you as a parent/carer (e.g., “I want to understand my child’s sensory profile better” or “I want tools to support transitions at home”).

  • Goals are guided by a neuroaffirming, trauma-informed, and family-centred approach.

  • You’ll leave with a simple summary and a plan for your next steps.

5. Coaching Sessions (60Mins)

What they include:

  • Practical, evidence-informed strategies tailored to your family life

  • Support with understanding your child’s communication, emotions, and behaviours

  • Tools to build your own confidence and reduce burnout

  • Space to reflect, learn, and ask questions without judgment

  • Delivery: In-person or online, depending on location and preference

  • Frequency: Weekly, fortnightly, or flexible scheduling

  • Bookable at short notice depending on availability

  • Frequency: Weekly, fortnightly, or flexible scheduling

7. Ongoing support & review
